The National Highway 118 ( R 118 ) was to 1945, a state road of the German Reich . It ran in the then Prussian province of Silesia and started in Namslau (today Namysłów ) on what was then Reichsstraße 117 , from there it ran on the route of today's Polish DW 454 via Opole (now Opole ), where it crossed the former Reichsstraße 5 and crossed it the Oder , which it followed upriver (now Droga krajowa 45 ), crossed the former national road 115 (now Droga krajowa 40 ) at the height of Cosel (now Kędzierzyn-Koźle ) , continued to Ratibor (now Racibórz ) and on to the imperial border before Oderberg ( Bohumín ), from which it was continued after the establishment of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia in 1939 to Ostrava (Mährisch Ostrau) and ended there at Reichsstrasse 145 .
