Reichsstrasse 78

In the course of time, two different Reichsstraße were designated as Reichsstraße 78 .

Hameln - Brunswick

When the trunk road system was founded in 1932, the section from Hameln via Elze , Hildesheim and Vechelde to Braunschweig was known as trunk road 78. This route was soon added to the course of Reichsstraße 1 and is now part of Bundesstraße 1 .

Trebnitz - Osterode

Later the route from Trebnitz (crossing point to R 116 ) via Kalisch (crossing point to R 387 ), Kirchdorf (crossing point to R 114 ), Warthbrücken (Koło) (crossing point to R 114), Leslau (Włocławek) (crossing point to R 129 ) , Leipe (Lipno) (crossing point to R 123 ), Strasburg (Brodnica) (crossing point to R 382 ), Samplau (crossing point to R 144 ) and Löbau after Osterode (crossing point to R 127 and R 130 ) named as Reichsstraße 78.

Since the entire route is outside the German federal territory, No. 78 is no longer represented in the federal road network , and the number has not yet been reassigned.
