The Reichsstraße 160 ( R 160 ) was a state road of the German Reich until 1945 , which crossed the Prussian province of Pomerania in a north-south direction and the Baltic city of Kolberg (now Polish: Kołobrzeg) with the cities of Köslin (Koszalin), Neustettin (Szczecinek) and cutting mill (Piła) connected. After 1939 the R 160 was extended to Kolmar in Posen (Chodzież).

The total length of the R 160 was 204 kilometers.

Today, the function of the R 160 is performed while maintaining the old route from the Polish state road Droga krajowa 11 (DK 11), which, however, goes via Piła ( Schneidemühl ) and Chodzież ( Kolmar ) via Poznań ( Posen ) to Bytom ( Beuthen / Upper Silesia ) has been extended to a total of 596 kilometers and connects the four voivodeships of West Pomerania , Greater Poland , Opole and Silesia .
