The railway line Gramenz – Zollbrück (Polish: Linia kolejowa Grzmiąca – Korzybie) was a single-track branch line of the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR), today located in the area of the two Polish voivodeships of West Pomerania and Pomerania , but which is no longer in operation by the Polish State Railways (PKP) was taken.

course

The almost 80 kilometers long railway line from Gramenz (Grzmiąca) to Zollbrück (Korzybie) ran from southwest to northeast in eastern Pomerania . At the beginning it crossed the Pomeranian Lake District and ended in the Stolper Heide (Puszcza Słupska). It connected the two railway lines Schneidemühl – Kolberg and Neustettin – Stolp that had already met in Neustettin (Szczecinek) and ensured the connection of the rural structured region around Bublitz (Bobolice) and Pollnow (Polanów) with the small railway lines of the Köslin – Belgarder Bahnen and the Schlawer tracks .

On its way, the Gramenz – Zollbrück railway ran through the districts of Neustettin , Köslin , Schlawe and Rummelsburg, corresponding to today's Polish districts of Szczecinek , Koszalin , Sławno and Słupsk . The railway line crosses the border between the West Pomeranian and Pomeranian Voivodeships three times .

history

The Prussian Eastern Railway connected Gramenz to its network on November 15, 1878 with the opening of the (Schneidemühl–) via Neustettin to Kolberg .

On November 1, 1896, the first section from Gramenz to Bublitz Stadtwald was released, and on December 15, 1897, the extension to Bublitz followed. Six years later - on July 15, 1903 - the third section from Bublitz to Pollnow went into operation, and then it took another 18 years until the gap from Pollnow to Zollbrück could be closed on November 1, 1921.

After only 24 years of use as a complete line, the Gramenz – Zollbrück railway was closed as a result of the war. Most of the facilities were dismantled. The PKP could not decide to restore it and has not assigned a route number for this railway line.
