The Powiat Koszaliński is a powiat ( district ) in the northeast of the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship . The district town of Koszalin (Köslin) forms its own urban district.

From 1872 to 1945 there was a (German) district of Köslin , to which the eponymous district town belonged until 1923 and which from 1932 (merger with the neighboring district of Bublitz) comprised an area similar to today's Powiat.
