The Droga krajowa 6 (short DK6 , pol. On National Road 6 'or, country road 6') is a country road in Poland . It currently runs from Szczecin to Gdynia and represents part of the west-east connection between Poland's western border with Germany and Tricity in Polish road traffic . It runs parallel to the Baltic Sea coast and is part of European route 28 along the entire route .

The total length is 296.7 kilometers. In the meantime it has been replaced on some sections by the S6 expressway . After the completion of the A6 motorway and the S6 expressway, the state road will disappear from the road network along its entire route.

history

With the reform of the numbering of all state roads, the current route of the state road was finally determined on May 9, 2001. It follows the former Reichsstraße 2 for almost its entire length .
