The Droga krajowa 30 (short DK30 , polish for, national road 30 'respectively, national road 30') is a country road in Poland . It runs from the German-Polish border town of Zgorzelec in a south-easterly direction via Lubań and Olszyna to the Giant Mountains town of Jelenia Góra and provides a connection between these two towns and the A4 motorway and national roads  3 and  94 . The total length is 65.7 km.

history

The current course of the road follows a section of the former Reichsstraße 6 , which from 1932 to 1945 led from Cuxhaven via Bremen , Hanover , Leipzig , Dresden , Görlitz to Breslau and from there on to Groß Wartenberg .

The Polish state road network was originally aimed at the capital Warsaw, its street numbers were numbered clockwise from Warsaw. The road from Zgorzelec to Jelenia Góra was designated State Road 19 until 1985. After the reorganization of the road network in 1985, new state roads were assigned to the road. The section from Jelenia Góra to Pasiecznik became part of the national road 297. The section from Pasiecznik to Zgorzelec was assigned to the new state road 356. With the reform of the numbering on May 9, 2001, the previous two state roads were merged into state road 30.
