The Droga krajowa 90 (abbreviated DK 90 , pol. For, national road 90 'or' national road 90 ') is a country road in Poland . It runs in a west-east direction within the Pomeranian Voivodeship and connects the two parallel state roads 91 and  55 with a total length of 11 km  .

history

Former ferry in Korzeniewo

On January 1, 2006, the road was upgraded from a voivodeship road to a state road based on the decision of the Polish Ministry of Transport on May 6, 2005 . Previously it was signposted as Voivodship Road 232. However, state road 90 continued to run on the old route, the western and eastern parts of which were connected by a ferry across the Vistula . The plans for a bridge over the Vistula now had to be adapted to the standards of a state road.

With the signing of the contract on September 2, 2010 with the consortium consisting of Budimex SA and Ferrovial Agroman SA, the construction of the new route of the state road began, which included an 808 meter long extradosed bridge over the Vistula and a total of 1028 meter long bridge structures leading to the bridge . The construction costs were set at over 300 million złoty . Completion should take place on December 19, 2012 after a construction period of 27 months. Construction of the bridge began on November 8, 2010. After an approximately eight-month delay caused by the unfavorable weather conditions in the winter months of 2010 and 2011 and in the summer of 2012, the new route of the state road was opened to traffic on July 26, 2013 to hand over.

Bridge at Kwidzyn

The bridge at Kwidzyn is an extradosed bridge over the Vistula on the Polish national road 90 and the largest bridge of its kind in Poland . The type of bridge is a combination of a cable-stayed bridge and a girder bridge . The superstructure of the bridge is 808.4 meters and, together with the elevated roads leading to the bridge, 1867.2 meters long. There is a nine meter wide lane with one lane in each direction. The total width of the bridge is 15.9 meters. The superstructure is pre-tensioned by three pylons using a total of 54 stay cables. The spans range from 70 to 204 m. The pylons reach a height of 17.2 meters above the roadway.
