The Droga krajowa 59 (short DK59 , pol. For, national road 59 'respectively, national road 59') is a country road in Poland . It leads from Giżycko in a south-westerly direction via Mrągowo to Rozogi . The total length is 93.3 km.

history

After the reorganization of the Polish road network in 1985, the section of today's road from Giżycko to Mrągowo was assigned the state road 608 and the section between Mrągowo and Rozogi the state road 602. With the reform of the numbering on May 9, 2001, the two sections became the new state road 59.

The section Giżycko - Ryn - Mrągowo runs on the route of the former German Reichsstrasse 140 .
