Bachorza ( German  Wiesenthal ) is a settlement ( Polish osada ) in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , which belongs to the urban and rural municipality Ryn (Rhine) in the powiat Giżycki ( Lötzen district ).

Geographical location

Bachorza is located in the eastern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , 15 kilometers southwest of the district town Giżycko (Lötzen) and three kilometers northeast of the city of Ryn (Rhine) .

history

The estate, called Rastell dismantling until April 27, 1875 , was a residential area in the municipality of Trossen ( Tros in Polish ) before 1945 . She was part of the administrative district Orlen (Polish Orlo), which - in 1938 renamed "District Arlen" - until 1945 the county Lötzen in Administrative district Gumbinnen (1905-1945 Administrative district Allenstein ) the Prussian province of East Prussia belonged.

Between 1874 and 1913 Wiesenthal was included in the Orlen registry office , then until 1945 in the registry office of the city of Rhine (Ryn). Wiesenthal had 58 inhabitants in 1905.

In 1945 Wiesenthal was in consequence of the war with the entire southern East Prussia to Poland transferred to where it was a separate settlement with the place name "Bachorza". The small settlement is now part of the Schulzenamt (Polish sołectwo) Tros (Trossen) and a village in the network of the urban and rural community Ryn (Rhine) in the powiat Giżycki ( Lötzen district ), before 1998 the Suwałki Voivodeship , since then the Warmia Voivodeship Assigned to Masuria .

Religions

Until 1945 Wiesenthal was parish in the Evangelical Parish Church of the Rhine in the Church Province of East Prussia of the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic Parish Church of St. Bruno Lötzen in the Diocese of Warmia .

Today Bachorza belongs to the Evangelical Parish Church in Ryn in the Diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland as well as to the Catholic Parish Church Immaculate Conception of Mary in Ryn within the Diocese of Ełk (Lyck) of the Roman Catholic Church in Poland .

Bachorza is located on the important Polish national road 59 , the former German Reichsstrasse 140 , which connects the districts of Giżycko (Lötzen) , Mrągowo (Sensburg) and Szczytno (Ortelsburg) . A rail link has not existed since 1971, when the Reimsdorf – Rhine line of the former Rastenburger Kleinbahnen with the Waldhof (Canki) station was taken out of service.
