The Powiat Szczycieński is a powiat (district) of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in Poland . The powiat has an area of ​​1933.1 km² and about 69,700 inhabitants.

The area corresponds roughly to the former district of Ortelsburg .

• Szczytno (Ortelsburg): 23,267 inhabitants;

two urban-and-rural parishes

• Pasym (Passenheim): 5309 inhabitants
• Wielbark (Willenberg): 5835 inhabitants;

• Dźwierzuty (Mensguth): 6508 inhabitants
• Jedwabno (Jedwabno): 3653 inhabitants
• Rozogi (Friedrichshof): 5558 inhabitants
• Szczytno (Ortelsburg): 13,040 inhabitants
• Świętajno (Schwentainen): 5835 inhabitants.
