The powiat Działdowski is a powiat (district) in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship . It is enclosed in the north by the powiaten Nowe Miasto , Iława , Ostróda and Nidzica , while the voivodeship border of Warmia-Masuria runs in the south, which connects Masovia and Kuyavian-Pomerania .

history

The powiat comprises the southern part of the former East Prussian district of Neidenburg , which in 1920 was attached to Poland, the Pomeranian Voivodeship , without a referendum , as well as parts of the former West Prussian districts of Neumark (West Pr.) And Strasburg (West Pr.) . On April 1, 1938, the powiat came to what was then the Warsaw Voivodeship (1919–1939) as part of a territorial reform .
