Ryńskie Pole ( German  Rheinsfelde ) is a place in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the urban and rural community Ryn (Rhine) in the Giżycki powiat ( Lötzen district ).

Geographical location

Ryńskie Pole is located in the eastern center of the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship , 20 kilometers southwest of the district town of Giżycko (Lötzen) and three kilometers southeast of the city of Ryn (Rhine) .

history

The small manor village, initially also known as the Stadienhof , has been mentioned since 1866. Until 1945 it was a residential area within the city of Rhine ( Ryn in Polish ) and connected to it in its history.

As a result of the war, Rheinsfelde came to Poland in 1945 together with southern East Prussia and received the Polish form of the name "Ryńskie Pole". Today it is part of the urban and rural community Ryn (Rhine) in the Giżycki powiat ( Lötzen district ), before 1998 the Suwałki Voivodeship , since then it has belonged to the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship .

church

Until 1945 Rheinsfelde was parish in the Evangelical Parish Church of the Rhine and in the Catholic Parish Church of St. Adalbert in Sensburg ( Polish Mrągowo ). Today Ryńskie Pole belongs to the Evangelical Parish in Ryn and the Catholic Parish Church of the Immaculate Conception of Mary, also in Ryn.

traffic

Ryńskie Pole is conveniently located on the Polish voivodship road DW 642 , which runs through the powiat Giżycki in a north-south direction and leads to Woźnice (Wosnitzen , Julienhöfen from 1938 to 1945 ) in the powiat Mrągowski ( Sensburg district ). There is no longer a rail link since operations on the Rastenburg – Reimsdorf – Rhein railway line of the former Rastenburger Kleinbahnen with the nearby railway station in Rhine were discontinued.
