The DK13 in Przecław

The Droga krajowa 13 (short DK13 , pol. For, national road 13 'or, national road 13') is a country road in northwestern Poland .

course

The road leads from Szczecin (Stettin) in a south-westerly direction to the German-Polish border. On the German side, it turns into Bundesstrasse 2 . With a total length of 15.8 km, it is one of the shorter state roads that only run within one voivodeship , namely in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship .

history

On its entire route, the state road runs along the route of the former Reichsstraße 2 , which led from Dirschau via Danzig , Köslin and Stettin to Berlin , Munich and Mittenwald (today Bundesstraße 2). Before the reorganization of the Polish road network in 1985, the section from Stettin to the Szczecin-Zachód motorway junction was known as the E74 state road. After this reform, the entire course of the road was assigned to the newly created state road 117. With the reform of the numbering on May 9, 2001, the name was changed to Landesstraße 13.

Between 1998 and 2005 the street was completely renovated. In the urban area of Szczecin, Mieszka I Street and Południowa Street were completely expanded and partially rebuilt with four lanes on Autostrada Poznańska Street. In addition, a section of Cukrowa Street was modernized. In addition, two new roundabouts and a street crossing were built. The last structure opened in August 2005 was a bridge over Południowa Street, on which the 408, 409 and 433 lines operate. In addition, the section from the city limits of Szczecin to the Szczecin-Zachód motorway junction was modernized.
