The Droga krajowa 40 (DK40) is a country road in Poland . It continues the Czech Silnice I / 44 coming from Šumperk (Mährisch-Schönberg) on the state border with the Czech Republic west of Głuchołazy (Ziegenhals) , runs via Prudnik (Neustadt OS), where the DK41 crosses , Oberglogau / Głogówek , Wiegschütz / Większyce (junction with DK 45 , junction of DK38 ), Kędzierzyn-Koźle (Kandrzin-Cosel), Ujest / Ujazd , behind which you reach the A4 autostrade at the Łany junction , to Pyskowice (Peiskretscham). The road ends here at DK94 .

history

From the Czech border via Głuchołazy to Prudnik, the road formed part of the German Reichsstraße 147 until 1945 , in its eastern section of the Reichsstraße 115 .
