The Droga krajowa 74 (DK74) is a country road in Poland . It originally began in Sulejów on DK12 . With the completion of the S8 between Wieluń and Piotrków Trybunalski , the route of which deviates significantly from the DK8 in this section , the DK74 was extended to Wieluń. The newly added section is sometimes referred to as DK74j.

The DK74 now begins at the Wieluń junction of the S8. After a few hundred meters, the former DK8 is reached, the route of which was added to the DK74. The road runs in a south-easterly direction brook Wieluń, where the DK45 crosses . It then runs in an easterly direction via Szczerców and Bełchatów to Piotrków Trybunalski. There the road leads over common sections with the A1 , S8 , DK91 and finally the DK12 to its earlier beginning in Sulejów. From there it runs first in a south-easterly direction, where it crosses the DK42 at Ruda Maleniecka , to Kielce . Here it intersects the S7 expressway ( E 77 ). For a length of 6.8 kilometers it runs here as Droga ekspresowa S74 . From Kielce the road runs generally in an easterly direction via Łagów to Opatów ; here the DK9 is crossed. In the small village of Wyszmontów, around 4 kilometers south of Ożarów , the DK79 is cut, and shortly before Annopol the Vistula is crossed on a bridge. In the further course of the street you reach Kraśnik , from here to Janów Lubelski the course of the street now coincides with that of DK19 in a southerly direction . Then the road turns again to the east and reaches the town of Zamość via Frampol and Szczebrzeszyn , where it crosses the DK17 (also E 372 ). The further course in an easterly direction leads via Hrubieszów to the border with Ukraine at the Zosin / Ustyluh border crossing on the Huczwa River shortly before its confluence with the Bug . The road is around 514 kilometers long.
