The Droga krajowa 51 (DK 51) is a Polish national road , the North-South direction in within the province Masuria runs. Over a length of 122 km it connects the Polish-Russian border ( border crossing point Bezledy (Beisleiden) - Багратионовск / Bagrationowsk (Prussian Eylau) ) with the voivodeship capital Olsztyn (Allenstein) , where it is expanded as expressway 51 and to the original destination Olsztynek (Hohenstein ) is continued.

The DK 51 also provides important road connections: between the Russian trunk road A 195 , the Polish expressway 51 , the national roads DK 16 , DK 53 and DK 57 as well as the voivodship roads DW 507 , DW 511 , DW 512 , DW 513 , DW 527 , DW 530 , DW 593 and DW 598 .

Today's DK 51 runs on the sections of the former German Reichsstraße : 128 ( Preußisch Eylau - Bartenstein ), 142 (Bartenstein - Heilsberg ), 134 (Heilsberg - Allenstein ) and - as S 51 - 130 (Allenstein - Hohenstein ).
