The National Highway 128 ( R 128 ) was to 1945, a state road of the German Reich . It ran in a north-south direction through the entire province of East Prussia and connected the Baltic Sea resort of Cranz (today in Russian Selenogradsk) with Masuria and Ortelsburg (today in Polish: Szczytno) and was used during the occupation of Poland from 1939 to 1945 to Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki ( Neuhof or . Bugmünde ) near Warsaw . The total length of the road was 329 kilometers.
Today, the route of the former R 128 passes through the territory of Russia ( Kaliningrad ) and Poland ( Voivodships Warmia-Mazury and Mazovia ). The old R 128 is being replaced today by the street names A 191 and A 195 in Russia, as well as DK 51 , DK 57 , DK 50 , DK 7 and in between DW 616 in Poland.
