The powiat Płoński is a powiat (district) in the Polish Masovian Voivodeship . The powiat has an area of ​​1383.67 km², on which about 87,000 people live. It was founded in 1999 as part of the administrative reform. The population density is 63 inhabitants per 1 km² (2007).

From 1939 to 1945, the area was a district Plöhnen part of the new Zichenau the province of East Prussia .
