The Powiat Makowski is a powiat (district) in the Polish Masovian Voivodeship . The powiat has an area of ​​1064.56 km² , on which 46,982 inhabitants live. The population density is 44 inhabitants per 1 km² (2004).

history

In the interwar period from 1919 to 1939, the Powiat Makowski was part of the Warsaw Voivodeship . From 1939 to 1945 the district was called the Mackeim district and part of the new Zichenau district in the East Prussian province .
