Sagorodnoje ( Russian Загородное , German Schloditten ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad ( Koenigsberg area (Prussia) ) and belongs to the Gwardeiskoje selskoje posselenije (rural community Gwardeiskoje (Mühlhausen) ) in the Bagrationovsk district ( Prussian Eylau district ).

Geographical location

Sagorodnoje is two kilometers north of the Rajon capital and former district town of Bagrationovsk (Prussian Eylau) on the old Russian trunk road A 195 (former German Reichsstraße 128 ). From here an impassable road leads in a westerly direction to Orechowo (Althof) , two kilometers away , where it crosses the railway line from Mamonowo (Heiligenbeil) via Kornewo (Zinten) to Bagrationowsk, which is now only for military traffic from Dolgorukowo ( Stablack) is used.

history

The rural community, once called Schloditten , was incorporated into the newly established Henriettenhof district in 1874 , and from 1928 to 1945 the Althof district (now Orechowo in Russian). He was in the district of Preußisch Eylau in the administrative district of Königsberg in the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1910 there were 137 inhabitants registered here.

Schloditten was independent until March 31, 1929. Then the place with the district Karlshöfchen was incorporated into the rural community Schmoditten (today Russian: Rjabinowka).

As a result of the war, Schloditten came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia in 1945 and was given the Russian name " Sagorodnoje " in 1946 . Until 2009, Sagorodnoje was incorporated into the Orechowski soviet (Dorfsowje Orechowo (Althof) ). Since then, due to structural and administrative reform, the place has been classified as a "settlement" (Russian: possjolok) within the Gwardeiskoje selskoje posselenije (rural community Gwardeiskoje (Mühlhausen) ) in the Bagrationovsk district .

church

With its almost exclusively Protestant population, Schloditten was parish in the Schmoditten parish (today Russian: Rjabinowka) until 1945 . It belonged to the church district Preußisch Eylau (Bagrationowsk) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . The last German clergyman was Pastor Max Kuehnert .

Today Sagorodnoje lies in the catchment area of the Evangelical Lutheran village parish in Gwardeiskoje (Mühlhausen) , which was established in the 1990s. It is a subsidiary of the Church of the Resurrection in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) within the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELKER).
