Novosjolki ( Russian Новосёлки , German Klein Waldeck ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad ( Koenigsberg area (Prussia) ) and belongs to Gwardeiskoje selskoje posselenije (rural community Gwardeiskoje (Mühlhausen) ) in the Bagrationovsk district ( Prussian Eylau district ).
Geographical location
Novosjolki is located in the far east of Bagrationovsk Rajon, right on the border with Pravdinsk Rajon ( Friedland District (East Pr.) ). A cul-de-sac from Ossokino (Groß Waldeck) on the road from Tischino (Abschwangen) to Domnowo (Domnau) leads into the village . Until 1945 Neu Waldeck (Russian: Kaschtanowo) was the next station on the railway line from Königsberg (today Russian: Kaliningrad) to Angerburg (now Polish: Węgorzewo), which was not put back into operation.
history
Gutsdorf, formerly known as Klein Waldeck , was incorporated into the administrative district of Abschwangen (Russian: Tischino) between 1874 and 1945 . It belonged to the district of Preußisch Eylau in the administrative district of Königsberg in the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1910 the Klein Waldeck manor district had 124 inhabitants.
On September 30, 1928, Klein Waldeck lost its independence and was incorporated with the district of Plenitten (Russian: Ostrowskoje) into the rural community of Mostitten (Russian: Ostrowskoje).
As a result of the Second World War , Klein Waldeck came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia and in 1946 was given the Russian name " Novosjolki ". Until 2009 the place was incorporated into the Chekhovsky soviet (Dorfsovjet Chekhowo (Uderwangen) ) and since then - due to a structural and administrative reform - it has been classified as a "settlement" (Russian: possjolok) within the Gwardeiskoje selskoje posselenije (rural municipality Gwardeiskoje (Mühlhausen) ) in the Bagrationovsk district .
church
The majority of the population of Klein Waldeck before 1945 was of Protestant denomination. The village was parish in the parish Almenhausen / Abschwangen with parish seat in Almenhausen (today Russian: Kaschtanowo) and thus belonged to the parish of Preußisch Eylau (Bagrationowsk) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union .
Today Novosjolki is located in the catchment area of the Evangelical Lutheran congregation in Domnowo (Domnau) , which is a subsidiary congregation of the Resurrection Church in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) in the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELCER).
