Standard Time (Southern Hemisphere)
- Namibia was the only African state in the southern hemisphere that had introduced a clock change. In the southern summer (September to April) the previous standard time UTC + 2 applied between 1994 and 2017, while in the southern winter (April to September) UTC + 1 applied. This regulation applied to all regions of Namibia with the exception of the Zambezi region . The time change in Namibia took place on the first Sunday in September or on the first Sunday in April, so that there was a few weeks of the year at the same time as Central Europe. On August 7, 2017, the changeover was abolished with effect from September 3, 2017 and UTC + 2 was retained all year round, as it was before 1994.
