Stockerau-Kremser Strasse

The Stockerau-Kremser Straße was a federal road in Austria that led from Stockerau via Kirchberg am Wagram to Krems . Stockerau-Kremser Strasse has been a Lower Austrian state road since 1972 and is referred to as L 14 .

history

The Stockerau-Kremser Straße was opened to traffic in 1824. On July 24, 1824, the then Emperor Franz II approved the construction of two toll stations in Stetteldorf am Wagram and Hadersdorf am Kamp .

The road from Krems via Hadersdorf to Horner Strasse next to Stockerau is one of the 17 roads that were declared Lower Austrian state roads in 1866. In 1870 the toll was abolished on the Lower Austrian state roads. The Lower Austrian state road law of April 19, 1894 no longer uses the term state road, the previous state roads have been converted into first class district roads.

After the annexation of Austria , this road was converted into a 1st order country road on April 1, 1940 as part of the standardization of the road system and led as a section of LIO 3. On March 23, 1942, she was by order of the Inspector General for the German Road Administration to Reichsstraße explained and as a national route 409 , respectively.

The Stockerau-Kremserstraße belonged from April 1, 1948 the network of federal roads in Austria . From 1949 it was designated as the B 3 .

On January 1, 1972, the new line on Donau Strasse between Stockerau and Krems replaced Stockerau-Kremser Strasse via Hausleiten and Kirchberg am Wagram . The number B 3 has been used for Donau Straße since 1971.
