Reichsstrasse 126
The Reichsstraße 126 ( R 126 ) was a state road of the German Reich until 1945 and led in a north-easterly direction through the province of East Prussia , where it connected the Warmia with Königsberg (Prussia) and the elk lowlands. It was also the link between the Reichsstraßen R 1 , R 128 , R 130 , R 131 , R 138 , R 142 , R 143 and R 144 . The total length of the R 126 was 222 kilometers.
Today the route of the former R 126 runs through two national areas: through northeastern Poland ( Pomeranian and Warmian-Masurian Voivodeships ) and Russia ( Kaliningrad Oblast ). There is no border crossing point . The Polish provincial roads DW 519 , DW 528 , DW 507 and DW 510 run along the old route . In Russia there is initially no road marking, later that of the A 190 .
