history
Before 1945, Neu Droosden was a large Vorwerk and, along with Klein Droosden (Russian: Drosdowo), Spätsrode and Zeith (all three no longer exist), belonged to the Groß Droosden manor district (today Russian: Schurawljowka) in the Labiau district in the Königsberg administrative district of the Prussian province of East Prussia .
In 1945 Neu Droosden came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia . In 1947 the place was given the Russian name Pridoroschnoje and was assigned at the same time to the village soviet Slawjanski selski Sowet in Polessk Raion . The majority of the population of New Droosden was of Protestant denomination and before 1945 was parish in the parish of the Groß Legitten church (Russian: Turgenewo). This belonged to the church district Labiau in the province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . Today Pridoroschnoje is again in the catchment area of the Turgenewo Church , where a new Evangelical Lutheran congregation had formed in the 1990s.
