Tjulenino ( Russian Тюленино , German  Viehof ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Polessk in Polessky District .

Geographical location

Tjulenino is located two kilometers southwest of the center of the city of Polessk (Labiau) on the Russian trunk road A 190 (former German Reichsstrasse 126 ). In town ends a side road coming from Iwanowka (Adlig Bärwalde) from the south . There is a rail connection via the city train station in Polessk on the Kaliningrad – Sovetsk line (Königsberg – Tilsit) .

history

The village, once called Viehof , was incorporated into the newly established district of Pareyken in 1874 (the place was renamed "Goldberg" in 1938 and is now called Seljonoje in Russian) in the Labiau district in the Königsberg administrative district in the Prussian province of East Prussia , to which it belonged until 1928 . In 1910 the Viehof manor district had 146 inhabitants. On September 30, 1928, Viehof lost its independence and was incorporated into the municipality of Labiau (today in Russian: Polessk).

As a result of the war, Viehof came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia in 1945 and received the Russian name "Tjulenino" again independently in July 1950. At the same time, the place was classified in the village soviet Mordowski selski Sowet (Groß Legitten) , whose administrative seat was Tjulenino itself in October 1950. This moved to Turgenewo around 1990 . From 2008 to 2016 Tjulenino belonged to the urban municipality of Polesskoje gorodskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Polessk .

Tjuleninski selski Sowet / okrug (1947–) 2008

The village soviet was established in June 1947 as Mordowski selski sovet (ru. Мордовский сельский Совет). The administrative seat was initially the place Mordowskoje (Groß Legitten) . In October 1950 the administrative center was moved to Tjulenino and the village soviet was renamed Tjuleninski selski Sowet (ru. Тюленинский сельский Совет). From 1965 to 1969 the village soviet was dissolved and attached to the Slawjanski selski Sowet . Before 1988 the administrative headquarters were moved to Turgenewo . After the collapse of the Soviet Union , the administrative unit existed as the village district Tjuleninski selski okrug (ru. Тюленинский сельский округ). In 2008 the remaining places in the village district were divided between the urban municipality of Polesskoje gorodskoje posselenije and the rural municipality of Turgenewskoje selskoje posselenije.
