The extensive settlement of Iskrowo lies to the west and east of the Schwentinka (Naujoge / Hirschfließ) west of the municipal road 27K-057 from Salessje (Mehlauken / Liebenfelde) to Dalneje (Bittkallen / Bitterfelde) . It is 25 kilometers to the district town of Polessk (Labiau) . There is no rail connection.
history
The former village of Plattupönen belonged to the district of Schaltischledimmen between 1874 and 1945 (1929 to 1947: Neuwiese, today in Russian: Novoselskoje). This was renamed in 1930 in the "District of Neuwiese" and was part of the Labiau district in the Königsberg district of the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1938 Plattupönen was renamed "Breitflur" for political and ideological reasons to avoid foreign-sounding place names.
In 1945 the place came with the northern East Prussia to the Soviet Union . In 1947 he was given the Russian name Iskrowo and at the same time was assigned to the village Soviet Zalessovsky selski Sowet in the Bolshakovo district . Since 1965 the place belongs to the Polessk Raion . From 2008 to 2016 Iskrovo belonged to the rural municipality Zalessovskoye selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Polessk.
