Trudowoi ( Russian Трудовой , German  Steinfeld ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Polessk in Polessky District .

Geographical location

Trudowoi is four kilometers west of the city of Polessk (Labiau) on the municipal road 27K-393 from Turgenewo (Groß Legitten) via Druschnoje (Rüdlauken / Rothöfen) to Saliwino (Labagienen / Haffwinkel) on the coast of the Curonian Lagoon . The nearest train station is the city train station in Polessk on the Kaliningrad – Sovetsk railway line (Königsberg – Tilsit) .

The then very small Gutsdorf Steinfeld was incorporated into the newly established Reikeninken District (1938–1945 "Reiken District", today Russian: Podsobny), which until 1945 belonged to the Labiau district in the Königsberg district in the Prussian province of East Prussia . Steinfeld had 36 inhabitants in 1910.

On September 30, 1928, Steinfeld merged with the manor districts of Rüdlauken (today Russian: Druschnoje) and Waldhausen (Russian: Druschnoje) to form the new rural community Rüdlauken, which was renamed Rothöfen in 1938 .

In 1945 Steinfeld came to the Soviet Union as a result of the war with northern East Prussia . In 1950 the place was renamed Trudewoi and at the same time assigned to the village soviet Mordowski selski Sowet, later called Tjuleninski selski Sowet , in Polessk Raion . From 2008 to 2016 Trudewoi belonged to the rural municipality Turgenevskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Polessk.

With its predominantly Protestant population, Steinfeld was parish into the parish of the town church of Labiau until 1945 . She belonged to the parish of Labiau in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . Since the 1990s there has been an Evangelical Lutheran congregation in Polessk (Labiau) , in whose catchment area Trudowoi is now also located. It belongs to the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia .
