Novoselskoje ( Russian Новосельское , German  Schaltischledimmen , 1929 to 1947 Neuwiese , Lithuanian Šaltyšlydimai ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Polessk in Polessky District .

Geographical location

Novoselskoje is located 27 kilometers east of the district town of Polessk (Labiau) on the municipal road 27K-057 from Salessje ( Mehlauken / Liebenfelde ) to Dalneje ( Bittkalken / Bitterfelde ). There is no train connection.

history

The village, known as Schaltischledimmen before 1929, consisted of many scattered farms and farms. On April 9, 1874, it became the official seat and gave its name to a newly established district , which was renamed in 1930 to "Neuwiese District" and until 1945 belonged to the Labiau district in the Königsberg district of the Prussian province of East Prussia . On September 25, 1929, the village was officially renamed "Neuwiese".

As a result of the war, Neuwiese came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia in 1945 . In 1947 the place was given the Russian name Novoselskoje and was assigned to the village soviet Zalessovsky selski sovet in Bolshakovo Rajon . Since 1965 the place belongs to the Polessk Raion . From 2008 to 2016 Novoselskoye belonged to the rural municipality Zalessovskoye selskoye posselenije and since then to the urban district of Polessk.

The district of Schaltischdelimmen existed between 1874 and 1945 and was renamed on February 15, 1930 to "District of Neuwiese". At the beginning it consisted of six, in the end of four communities:

The majority Protestant population Schaltischledimmens resp. Neuwieses was parish until 1945 in the parish of the church Mehlauken , which was in the parish of Labiau within the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . Today Novoselskoje is assigned to the newly established Evangelical Lutheran congregation in Bolshakowo (Groß Skaisgirren , Kreuzingen from 1938 to 1946 ) . It is a branch congregation within the church region of the Salzburg Church in Gussew (Gumbinnen) and belongs to the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia .
