Snamenka ( Russian Знаменка , German  Bruch, Koenigsberg / Samland district ) is a place in the Russian Oblast of Kaliningrad . It belongs to the municipal self-government unit of the Guryevsk District in Guryevsk Raion .

Geographical location

Snamenka is located 20 kilometers northeast of the city of Kaliningrad (Koenigsberg) on the regional road 27A-024 (ex A190 ). The nearest train station is the Ostanowotschny point (Op = "stop") Bajewka 1 ( Kuikeim , called Kuggen until 1945 ) on the Kaliningrad – Sovetsk (Königsberg – Tilsit) railway line , which passes on the northern edge of the town.

history

The small village formerly known as Bruch was originally a Vorwerk zu Kuggen (today Russian: Perwomaiskoje), to whose administrative district in the district of Königsberg (Prussia) (1939 to 1945 district of Samland ) in the administrative district of Königsberg within the Prussian province of East Prussia it also belonged. In 1928 Kuggen was incorporated into the municipality of Poggenpfuhl (Russian: Mendelejewo) and its administrative district.
