Krasnoje ( Russian Красное , German  Wolfsdorf, Koenigsberg / Samland district ) is a place in the Russian Oblast of Kaliningrad . It belongs to the municipal self-government unit of the Guryevsk District in Guryevsk Raion .

Geographical location

Krasnoye is twelve kilometers east of the oblast capital Kaliningrad (Königsberg) and can be reached on the municipal road 27K-379 via Solnechnoje (Praddau) not far from the federal road A229 (former German Reichsstrasse 1 ). There is no train connection.

history

The place formerly called Wolfsdorf consisted of several large courtyards until 1945. Between 1874 and 1945 Wolfsdorf was incorporated into the district of Waldau (today in Russian: Nisowje) and thus belonged to the Königsberg district (Prussia) (1939 to 1945 Samland district ) in the Königsberg district of the Prussian province of East Prussia .

In 1910 Wolfsdorf had 153 inhabitants. On September 30, 1928, the neighboring Praddau estate (today in Russian Solnetschnoje) was essentially incorporated into Wolfsdorf. The population of the expanded town rose to 234 by 1933 and was 230 in 1939.

As a result of the Second World War , Wolfsdorf came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia . In 1950 the place was given the Russian name Krasnoye and was assigned at the same time to the village soviet Nisowski selski Sowet in Gurjewsk Rajon . From 2008 to 2013 Krasnoye belonged to the rural municipality Nizovskoye selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Guryevsk.
