Poltawskoje ( Russian Полтавское , German  Perkappen ) is a place in the Russian Oblast of Kaliningrad . It belongs to the municipal self-government unit of the Guryevsk District in Guryevsk Raion .

Geographical location

Poltawskoje is located northeast of Gurjewsk (Neuhausen) and two kilometers northwest of Dobrino (Nautzken) on a spur road from the regional road 27A-024 (ex A190 ) in a northerly direction. The train station is Dobrino on the Kaliningrad – Sowetsk line (Königsberg – Tilsit) .

history

The former Gutsdorf, known as Perkappen until 1946 , was incorporated into the newly established Mettkeim district in 1874 (now in Russian: Novgorodskoje) and belonged to the Labiau district until 1945, and from 1939 to 1945 in the Königsberg district of the Prussian province of East Prussia .

In 1910 the Perkappen manor had 135 inhabitants.

On September 30, 1928, Perkappen lost its independence and was incorporated into Sellwethen (Jegorjewskoje) with the neighboring town of Wulfshöfen (Russian: Zwetkowo) .

Due to its location in northern East Prussia, Perkappen came to the Soviet Union in 1945 . In 1950 the place received the Russian name Poltavskoje and was assigned to the village soviet Dobrinski selski Sowet in Gurjewsk Rajon . From 2008 to 2013 Poltavskoje belonged to the rural municipality Dobrinskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Guryevsk.

The majority Protestant population of Perkappen was parish before 1945 in the parish Kaymen (1938-1946 Kaimen , today Russian: Saretschje) and belonged to the parish of Labiau in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . Today Poltawskoje is in the catchment area of ​​the Evangelical Lutheran congregation in Marschalskoje (Gallgarben) , a branch of the Resurrection Church in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) within the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELCER).
