Poddubnoje ( Russian Поддубное , German  Fürstenwalde, Koenigsberg / Samland district ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the municipal self-government unit of the Guryevsk District in Guryevsk Raion .

Geographical location

Poddubnoje is located eleven kilometers east of Kaliningrad (Koenigsberg) on a northern side street of the municipal road 27K-070 from Pribreschnoje (Palmburg) to Dobroje (Groß Legden) . There is no longer a train connection. Until 1945 Sonnigkeim (Russian: Sasanowka) was the next train station on the route from Königsberg (Prussia) via Possinder (Russian: Roschtschino) to Tapiau (Gwardeisk) of the Königsberg small railway .

history

The former Gutsdorf, called “Fürstenwalde” until 1946, came to the newly formed district of Bulitten in 1874 and belonged to the Königsberg district (Prussia) until 1939 , from 1939 to 1945 to the Samland district , in the Königsberg district of the Prussian province of East Prussia .

In 1910 the place had 87 inhabitants. On September 30, 1928 Fürstenwalde gave up its autonomy, by combining with Sunny germ (Russian: Sasanowka) and Dossitten merged (Cheremkhovo) and Neidtkeim for new rural community Dossitten.

In 1945 Fürstenwalde came with northern East Prussia to the Soviet Union . In 1947 the place was given the Russian name Poddubnoje and was assigned to the village soviet Jaroslawski selski Sowet in Gurjewsk Rajon . Later the place came to the Nisowski selski Sowet . From 2008 to 2013 Poddubnoye belonged to the rural municipality Nizovskoye selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Gurievsk.

With a predominantly Protestant population, Fürstenwalde was parish into the parish of Neuhausen (Russian: Gurjewsk) until 1945 . It belonged to the parish of Königsberg-Land II in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . The last German clergyman was Pastor Herbert Schott .

Today Poddubnoje is in the catchment area of ​​the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) . It is the main church of the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELKER).
