Rasswet ( Russian Рассвет , until 1958 Nekrassowo , German  Knöppelsdorf ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the municipal self-government unit of the Guryevsk District in Guryevsk Raion .

Geographical location

Rasswet is located in central Samland 13 kilometers northeast of Kaliningrad (Königsberg) and three kilometers northeast of Gurjewsk (Neuhausen) on the municipal road 27K-053. The nearest train station is Gurjewsk- Nowy ( called Trausitten until 1945 ) on the Kaliningrad-Sovetsk railway line (Königsberg-Tilsit) .

history

Knöppelsdorf until 1946 was incorporated into the Neuhausen district from 1874 to 1945 (today in Russian: Gurjewsk) and belonged to the Königsberg district (Prussia) (1939 to 1945 Samland district ) in the Königsberg district of the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1910 there were 356 inhabitants here.

On September 30, 1928 the manor district Görken (Russian: Iljitschowo) and on October 1, 1934 the rural community Sensen (Borowikowo, no longer existent) were incorporated into Knöppelsdorf. The population was 582 in 1933 and 528 in 1939.

As a result of the Second World War , Knöppelsdorf came to the Soviet Union . In 1947 the place received the Russian name Nekrasowo and was assigned at the same time to the village soviet Kosmodemjanski selski Sowet in Gurjewsk Rajon . Because the name was identical with Nekrassowo (Liska-Schaaken) , which is eleven kilometers to the north, the place was renamed Rasswet ("Dawn") in 1958. From 2008 to 2013 Rassvet belonged to the rural municipality Dobrinskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Guryevsk.

church

Most of the Knöppelsdorf residents were of Protestant denomination until 1945 and parish in the Neuhausen parish (now in Russian: Gurjewsk). It belonged to the parish of Königsberg-Land II within the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . Today Rassvet is located in the catchment area of the Evangelical Lutheran Resurrection Church Community in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) within the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia .
