Sasanowka ( Russian Сазановка , German Sonnigkeim ) is a place in the Russian Oblast of Kaliningrad . It belongs to the municipal self-government unit of the Guryevsk District in Guryevsk Raion .
Geographical location
Sasanowka is located eleven kilometers east of the oblast capital Kaliningrad (Koenigsberg) and can be reached via a cul-de-sac from the municipal road 27K-070 from Pribreschnoje (Palmburg) to Dobrino (Nautzken) in a northerly direction. Until 1945, Sonnigkeim was a train station - the station was 500 meters south of the estate - on the route from Königsberg (Prussia) via Waldau (now Russian: Nisowje) and Possinders (Roschtschino) to Tapiau (Gwardeisk) of the Königsberg small railway , which is no longer in operation .
history
The small estate, formerly known as Sonnigkeim , had been integrated into the Bulitten district since 1874 and belonged to the Königsberg district (Prussia) , Samland district from 1939 to 1945 , in the Königsberg district of the Prussian province of East Prussia . On December 16, 1892, the Sonnigkeim estate was formed - from the Sonnigkeim estate and the Siebeneichen estate, which at that time still belonged to the Groß Legden district (Russian: Dobroje).
In 1910 Sonnigkeim had 98 inhabitants.
Sonnigkeim's independence ended on September 30, 1928, when the rural communities Dossitten (Russian: Tscheremchowo) and Neidtkeim merged with the estate districts of Fürstenwalde and Sonnigkeim to form the new rural community Dossitten.
In 1945 Sonnigkeim came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia . In 1947 the place was given the Russian name Sasanowka and was assigned at the same time to the village soviet Jaroslawski selski Sowet in Gurjewsk Rajon . Later the place came to the Nisowski selski Sowet . From 2008 to 2013 Sazanowka belonged to the rural municipality of Nizovskoye selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Guryevsk.

Due to the almost exclusively evangelical population, Sonnigkeim was parish into the parish of Neuhausen (Russian: Gurjewsk) before 1945 . It was in the parish of Königsberg-Land II within the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . The last German clergyman was Pastor Herbert Schott .
Today Sasanowka belongs to the parish of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) . It is the main church of the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELKER).
