Morschanskoje ( Russian Моршанское , German  Schreitlacken ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the municipal self-government unit of the Guryevsk District in Guryevsk Raion .

Geographical location

Morschanskoje is 16 kilometers north of the city of Kaliningrad (Königsberg) on the regional road 27A-001 (ex A191 ). The nearest train station is Kaschtanowka (Mollehnen) on the Kaliningrad – Zelenogradsk – Pionersky railway (Königsberg – Cranz – Neukuhren) . The forest area of les Konstantinowski , formerly part of the Fritzen forest, extends south of the village .

history

Gutsdorf, once called Schreitlacken , was incorporated into the newly created district of Schugsten (Russian: Berjosowka) in 1874 and belonged to the Fischhausen district (1939 to 1945 Samland district ) in the Königsberg district of the Prussian province of East Prussia .

In 1910 there were 143 inhabitants registered in Schreitlacken. On September 30, 1928, the place lost its independence and was incorporated into Trentitten (Russian: Saizewo).

As a result of the Second World War , Schreitlacken came to the Soviet Union within northern East Prussia . The place was given the Russian name Morschanskoje in 1950 and was assigned at the same time to the village Soviet Novoselski selski Sowet in Gurjewsk Rajon . Later the place came into the Chrabrowski selski Sowet . From 2008 to 2013 Morschanskoje belonged to the rural municipality Khrabrowskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Guryevsk.

Before 1945 the inhabitants of Schreitlacken were almost without exception Protestant denomination and parish in the parish of Laptau (Russian: Muromskoje). It was part of the church district Königsberg Country II in the ecclesiastical province of East Prussia the Prussian Union of churches .
