Pobedino ( Russian Победино , German  Legitten ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the municipal self-government unit of the Guryevsk District in Guryevsk Raion .

Geographical location

Pobedino is 16 kilometers east of the city of Kaliningrad (Königsberg) and three kilometers northeast of Nisowje (Waldau) . The place can be reached from Malinniki (Spitzings) on the municipal road 27K-128 in an easterly direction. Until 1945 Legitten was a train station on the route from Königsberg (Prussia) via Possinder (today Russian: Roschtschino) to Tapiau (Gwardeisk) of the Königsberg small railway , which is no longer in operation.

history

Gutsdorf, called "Legitten" until 1946 , came to the Groß Legden district in 1874 (today in Russian: Dobroje) and until 1945 belonged to the Königsberg district (Prussia) (1938 to 1945 Samland district ) in the Königsberg district of the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1910 Legitten had 119 inhabitants.

On September 30, 1928 Legitten lost its independence when it joined the newly formed rural community of Wargienen (Russian: Aprelewka).

As a result of the Second World War , Legitten came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia . In 1947 the place was given the Russian name Pobedino and was assigned at the same time to the village soviet Nisowski selski Sowet in Gurjewsk Rajon . From 2008 to 2013 Pobedino belonged to the rural municipality of Nizovskoye selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Guryevsk.

Until 1945, the then predominantly Protestant population of Legitten was parish in the parish of the Arnau Church (now in Russian: Rodniki). It belonged to the parish of Königsberg-Land II within the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . The last German clergyman was Pastor Arthur Brodowski .

Today Pobedino is located in the catchment area of ​​the Church of the Resurrection in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) in the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELKER).
