Arif Şahin (born August 13, 1985 in Eskişehir ) is a Turkish football player .

Career

Club career

Arif Şahin started club football in the youth department of Bursaspor , then played for a year in the youth of Bursa Merinosspor and then returned to the youth of Bursaspor.

In 2004 he switched to the third division Bilecikspor as a professional player . Here he got a place in the starting XI right away and played continuously for a year and a half.

For the second half of 2005/06 he moved to Bursa Merinosspor and came to five league games by the end of the season. At the end of this season he moved to the Black Sea coast to Arsinspor . He played here until the second half of the season and was then loaned to the fourth division club Ofspor for the remainder of the game . He then played two seasons for Sakaryaspor and one season for Kartalspor .

For the 2009/10 season he then moved with the transfer fee to Elazığspor and celebrated with this club at the end of his second season the championship of the TFF 2. Lig and thus the direct promotion to the TFF 1. Lig . In the 2011/12 season he immediately established himself as a top performer on his team and was the player with the second most appearances. On the penultimate matchday, they made the safe promotion to the Süper Lig . For the winter break of the 2012/13 season he left Elazığspor.

Just a few days after he left, his move to the second division Kayseri Erciyesspor was announced. At the end of the season he reached the championship of the TFF 1st Lig with this club and thus direct promotion to the Süper Lig . Since his expiring contract was not extended, he moved to the new season for the second division Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyespor .

After playing a competitive game for Gaziantep BB, he moved to league rivals Samsunspor on the last day of the summer transfer period .

In the 2014 summer transfer period, he moved to second division Antalyaspor . With this club he ended the second division season 2014/15 as a play-off winner and thus as the last climber. For the 2015/16 season he left Antalyaspor after the contract expired and joined the second division Giresunspor . Half a season later he moved to league rivals Boluspor .
