Wladimirowka ( Russian Владимировка , until 1997 Wladimirowo , German  Bladau , Lithuanian Bladava ) is a small town in the Russian Oblast of Kaliningrad in Guryevsk Rajon . The place belongs to the municipal self-government unit of the city district Guryevsk . The place is, however, about two kilometers east of the Bladiau locality, which is deserted.

Geographical location

Vladimirovka is located nine kilometers northeast of Kaliningrad (Königsberg) and four kilometers south of Gurjewsk (Neuhausen) on a side road that connects Avangardnoje (Bulitten) with Maloje Wassilkowo ( Neudamm (Gut)). There is no train connection.

history

Before 1945 the former Bladau consisted of only one large courtyard. The manor village came in 1874 to the district of Bulitten (today Russian: Awangardnoje) and belonged to the district of Königsberg (Prussia) (1939 to 1945 district of Samland ) in the administrative district of Königsberg in the Prussian province of East Prussia . On November 6, 1892, Bladau was incorporated into the rural community of Bulitten and lost its independence.

As a result of the Second World War , Bladau was incorporated into the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia in 1945 and was renamed Vladimirovo again independently in 1950. At the same time, the place was incorporated into the village soviet Saosjorski selski Sowet in Gurjewsk Rajon and came in the same year in the Kutusowski selski Sowet . In 1997 the place was renamed Vladimirovka. From 2008 to 2013 the place belonged to the rural municipality Kutuzovskoye selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district Gurjewsk.

church

Until 1945 the evangelical inhabitants of Bladau were parish in the parish Neuhausen (today Russian: Gurjewsk), which belonged to the parish of Königsberg-Land II in the church province of East Prussia of the church of the Old Prussian Union . The last German clergyman was Pastor Herbert Schott . Today Vladimirovka is located in the catchment area of the Church of the Resurrection in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) in the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELKER) , which was newly built in the 1990s .
