Aistowo ( Russian Аистово , German  Kondehnen ) is a place in the Russian Oblast of Kaliningrad . It belongs to the municipal self-government unit of the Guryevsk District in Guryevsk Raion .

Geographical location

Aistowo is 14 kilometers northeast of the city of Kaliningrad (Königsberg) on a side road that connects Konstantinowka (Konradswalde) on the Russian trunk road A 190 (former German Reichsstraße 126 ) with Jaroslawskoje (Schönwalde) . The former Gutsdorf, formerly known as Kondehnen , was founded before 1395.

In 1874 it was incorporated into the newly established administrative district Schönwalde (today Russian: Jaroslawskoje) and belonged to the district of Königsberg (Prussia) (1939 to 1945 district of Samland ) in the administrative district of Königsberg in the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1910, 126 residents were registered here.

On September 30, 1928, Kondehnen lost its independence and was incorporated into the rural community of Schönwalde (Jaroslawskoje).

In 1945, Kondehnen came to the Soviet Union within northern East Prussia . In 1947 the place was given the Russian name Aistowo (from aist = stork) and was also assigned to the village soviet Jaroslawski selski Sowet in Gurjewsk Rajon . Later the place came to the Kosmodemjanski selski Sowet . From 2008 to 2013 Aistowo belonged to the rural municipality Dobrinskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district Guryevsk.
