Gorochowo ( Russian Горохово , German  Sprittlauken ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the municipal self-government unit of the Guryevsk District in Guryevsk Raion .

Geographical location

Gorchowo is located 20 kilometers northeast of the city of Kaliningrad (Königsberg) and can be reached via Matrossowo (Uggehnen) and Krasnopolje ( Sperlings , before 1993 in Russian: Petrowka). There is no longer a rail connection since the former line of the Königsberg small railway from Prawten (Russian: Lomossonowo) to Schaaksvitte (Kaschirskoje) with the Sudnicken (Pirogowo) train station is out of service.

history

The manor village, called Sprittlauken until 1946 , was part of the Sperlings community (Russian: Petrowka, now: Krasnopolje) and is closely linked to its history. 1874-1945 was one sparrow with Sprittlauken for District Sudnicken in district Königsberg (Prussia) (1939 to 1945 County Samland ) in the administrative district of Konigsberg the Prussian province of East Prussia .

In 1945 Sprittlauken came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia . The place received the Russian name Gorochowo in 1947 and was assigned at the same time to the village soviet Novoselski selski Sowet in Gurjewsk Rajon . Later the place came into the Chrabrowski selski Sowet . From 2008 to 2013 Gorlowka belonged to the Khrabrowskoje selskoje posselenije rural community and since then to the Guryevsk district.

Before 1945, Sprittlauken was parish in the parish of Schaaken with the parish seat in Schemtschuschnoje (Schaaken Church) due to its predominantly Protestant population . It belonged to the parish of Königsberg-Land II in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . Today Gorochowo is located in the catchment area of ​​the Evangelical Lutheran parish in Marschalskoje (Gallgarben) , a subsidiary of the Church of the Resurrection in Kaliningrad (Königsberg) within the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELCER).
