Solnetschnoje ( Russian Солнечое , German  Praddau ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the municipal self-government unit of the Guryevsk District in Guryevsk Raion .

Geographical location

Solnetschnoje is located in the southeast of Samland and twelve kilometers east of the oblast capital Kaliningrad (Königsberg) not far from the old route of the Russian trunk road A 229 , the former German Reichsstrasse 1 , on the municipal road 27K-379. There is no train connection.

history

The manor village, called Praddau before 1946, looks back on the year of foundation in 1362. Between 1874 and 1945 the place was integrated into the administrative district Waldau (today Russian: Nisowje) and thus belonged to the district of Königsberg (Prussia) (1939 to 1945 district of Samland ) in the administrative district of Königsberg in the Prussian province of East Prussia . On December 1, 1910, Praddau had 92 inhabitants. On September 30, 1928, the village lost its independence and was incorporated into the rural community of Wolfsdorf (Russian: Krasnoje).

In 1945 Praddau came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia . In 1950 the place was given the Russian name Solnetschnoje and was assigned at the same time to the village soviet Nisowski selski Sowet in Gurjewsk Rajon . From 2008 to 2013 Solnechnoye belonged to the rural municipality of Nizovskoye selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Guryevsk.

The predominantly Protestant population of Praddaus until 1945 was parish in the parish of the Church of Arnau (Russian: Rodniki). It belonged to the parish of Königsberg-Land II within the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union .
