Diego Iori (born May 20, 1986 in Cavalese ) is an Italian ice hockey player who has been under contract with SHC Fassa in the Alps Hockey League since 2018 .

Career

Diego Iori began his professional career at SHC Fassa in Serie A1 , the top Italian division. The winger made his professional ice hockey debut for Fassa in the 2003/04 season . From the 2010/11 season he was team captain of SHC Fassa. In the summer of 2012, he left Fassa and moved to league rivals Hockey Milano Rossoblu . After just one season, however, he returned to his home club in the Fassa Valley . From 2014 to 2016 he was on the ice at Asiago Hockey , with whom he won the Italian championship title and the Supercoppa in 2015 . He then moved to HC Gherdëina in the Alps Hockey League .

International

For Italy , Iori took part in the junior division of the U18 World Junior Championships in Division I 2004 and the U20 World Junior Championships in Division I in 2004 , 2005 and 2006 . In the senior division, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in Division I in 2009 and 2011 and in the World Championships in the Top Division in 2012 . He also represented his colors at the qualifying tournament for the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi 2014 .
