The 2010/11 season of the Italian Ice Hockey Championship of Series A1 began in the fall of 2010 and was the 77th regular hosting of the Italian Championship. It was played with a total of nine teams.
Defending champion Asiago Hockey prevailed against HC Pustertal in six games in the playoff finals , with the fifth game being decided 5-0 at the green table in favor of Asiago after the HCP had won the fifth game 7-2, however had not nominated a goalkeeper with an Italian passport in the squad and thus committed a rule violation.

Before the season started, the South Tyrolean club WSV Sterzing Broncos decided to move into the A1 series. However, the Italian Ice Hockey Federation (FISG) rejected the club's request in early July.
The A1 started on September 23. The master will be determined by April 5th at the latest. Game days remain Thursday and Saturday. In addition, there are some “English weeks”, with games being played on Tuesdays. Two breaks are also planned for the national team in December and February. Five rounds are played. The top eight teams qualify for the playoffs, which consist of quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals. As far as foreigners are concerned, each club may award eight points (a foreigner counts one meter, an Italian half a point). A maximum of ten transfer card players may be used per game (six foreigners and four italos or six italos and four foreigners). Which is newly introduced video evidence with four fixed cameras in every A1 Stadium. Cooperation with the referees should also be improved in the coming season. A judges' evaluation system is planned. The re-confirmed referee chairman Renzo Stenico has declared his willingness to pull together with the Lega and the clubs.
In the play-offs, the eight best teams from the regular season meet. Quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals are played in the "best-of-seven" mode, whereby the team that has completed the basic round with the higher rank can count on home rights.
