The 2004/05 season was the 71st season of Serie A1 , the highest Italian ice hockey division . Champion became the fourth time in the history of the HC Milano Vipers .

In the main round, each of the ten teams played a total of 36 games. The eight best-placed teams in the main round qualified for playoffs, in which the champions were played off. There were two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a loss.
