In the main round, the ten teams played 36 games each. The league was then divided into two groups, with the teams in their group each meeting the other group participants in a round trip. The score from the main round was halved for the second phase of the season. The four best-placed teams in the main round qualified for Group A, whose participants all qualified for the playoffs in which the championship title was played, as well as the four best-placed teams in Group B, in which the other six teams in the main round competed. Each team received three points for a win after regular time, two points for a win after overtime, one point for a loss after overtime and zero points for a defeat after regular time.
