Mark McCutcheon (born May 21, 1984 in Ithaca , New York ) is an American ice hockey player who has been under contract with HC Bozen since August 2011 in Serie A1 .

Career

Mark McCutcheon began his career as a hockey player at Cornell University , which he attended from 2003 to 2007 and was active for their team in the National Collegiate Athletic Association . With his university team, he won the ECAC Hockey Championship in 2005 . From 2007 to 2009, the center played for the Lake Erie Monsters in the American Hockey League , where he played in parallel nine games for the Johnstown Chiefs in the ECHL in the 2008/09 season .

In the 2009/10 season McCutcheon was under contract with the Idaho Steelheads in the ECHL and scored 64 scorer points for the team in a total of 49 games, including 22 goals. He was also on the ice for the AHL teams Portland Pirates and Manitoba Moose . The US-American began the 2010/11 season at the Norwegian top club Vålerenga IF , with whom he first participated in the pre-season preparation for the European Trophy and for which he then scored five goals in eight games in the GET league and provided three assists. In November 2010 he switched to the DEG Metro Stars from the German Ice Hockey League . In the 2011/12 season, the American was on the ice for HC Bozen from the A1 series , with which he won the Italian championship.
