Max Oberrauch (born April 26, 1984 in Bozen , South Tyrol ) is an Italian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HC Pustertal since 2006 in the Italian A1 series .

Career

Max Oberrauch began his hockey career in the youth department of Brixen. In 2001 he moved to Sweden, where he competed for a year for the U18 juniors of the professional club MODO Hockey Örnsköldsvik in the second highest junior league in his age group. The following year he returned to Italy, where he received a contract with HC Turin . Born in Bolzano, Germany stormed there for two years before he was under contract with HC Milano Vipers for another two years . In spring 2006 he moved to HC Pustertal , for which he stormed for several years and in 2005 became Italian champion and cup winner . When Armin Helfer returned to Pustertal in 2009, an old friend returned to Oberrauch. Max Oberrauch and Armin Helfer played together for two years at HC Milano Vipers. With the Pustertalers, he won the Italian Cup competition in 2011 and also won the country's Supercup three times .

International

For Italy, Oberrauch took part in the U18 Junior World Championships in 2001 and 2002 , as well as the U20 Junior World Championships in 2002 , 2003 and 2004 in Division I.

After making his debut in the Italian men's national team in the 2003/04 season , he first took part in a major senior tournament at the 2010 World Cup.
