The tournament Group A Division II was until 17 April 2010 of 11 Mexican Naucalpan de Juárez - far from the capital Mexico City - played. The venue was the La Pista Lomas Verdes arena with 3,500 seats. As it turned out in retrospect, the promotion was already decided on the first day of play, when Spain prevailed with a 6-0 win against relegated Australia from the previous year and after four further successes rose to Division I for the first time. The Turkey , however, had after five defeats in five games immediate re-descent into the Division III suffered. A total of almost 15,000 spectators attended the 15 games of the tournament.

From April 14 to 18, 2010, the World Cup tournament of Group B of Division III was held in the Armenian capital Yerevan . The games took place in the Karen Demirtschjan sports and concert complex with 8,000 seats. The tournament was overshadowed by the subsequent disqualification of hosts Armenia , who had used unqualified players. Only the rise of the North Koreans was not affected by this scandal , who also won the final against Armenia with 5: 2 and were able to celebrate their immediate return to Division II after relegation in the previous year.
